I want to be a writer.

I love books. I love reading stories and the attachment I feel to well-developed characters. An avid reader since I was a young child, I have always had a passion for language and an admiration for those with the ability to weave an intricate story from the threads of their imagination.

I have spent the last eighteen years in Corporate America, pursuing a career in healthcare information technology. While I still believe this is a very important industry and one where I feel strongly about making an impact, I have decided to follow my passion for writing in parallel, my initial goal being to write my first novel. I want not only to write a story that will entertain, but one that will also bring awareness to the rich culture of my middle-eastern heritage in the process. And maybe have a little fun while I’m at it…

Never have I felt so excited about a project, never have I been so nervous to share my work and never have I experienced such overwhelming support from my family, friends and colleagues as I chase my dream. Thank you for joining me on this journey; I promise openness and authenticity along the path and hopefully, in the end, a damn good book.
